To secure a place in a class simply select your preferred class online and complete the registration details. You will then receive a confirmation email confirming your child’s place, the class details (day, time, venue and level), term dates, fee for the term (this varies from term to term depending on the number of weeks in the term or when in the term that your child joined) and payment details.
It is possible for your child to join Little Cricket midway through a term, if there are places available, and their fee will be calculated according to the remaining weeks of that term.
At their first paid class (their second class attended) each new Little Cricketer receives a Little Cricket kit comprising of a Little Cricket training T-shirt, bag and skill tracker.
At the end of each term your child will automatically be allocated a place for the following term and you will receive an email confirming your child’s place, the class details (day, time, venue and level), term dates, fee for the term (this varies from term to term depending on the number of weeks in the term) and payment details.
If, for whatever reason, your child decides not to continue with Little Cricket in a subsequent term, please let the office know as soon as possible (email@example.com, 07511 046890 or through the contact form on the website) so that their place can be made available to a child on the waiting list.
If we have not received payment for a term at least 7 days before the first class of the term your child's place will be offered to a child on the waiting list.
Whilst it is ideal for your child to complete a full term in the same class, we understand that circumstances can change and sometimes it may be necessary to change the class that your child is attending midway through a term. If you wish to change the class that your child is in, please get in touch with the office as soon as possible so that we can look at availability and secure a place for them in an alternate class.
To accommodate the different physical and social abilities of children between the ages of two and four, Little Cricket runs two class levels:
Minis (2-3 year olds)
Maxi (3-4 year olds)
Your child can move from Minis to Maxi at any point during the year that they are three, but to minimize disruption to themselves and other children we advise that this occurs in the new term after they turn three – your child’s coach can advise. Equally, if you would prefer your child to remain in their Minis class for an extra term after they have turned three, this can be arranged by speaking to your child’s coach or contacting the office.
If, for unforeseen circumstances, the usual coach is unable to take a class (for example, because of illness) then another Little Cricket coach will take the class. If another coach is unavailable and a class has to be cancelled, we will inform you as soon as possible (by whichever contact details you have provided) and another class will be added to replace the cancelled class (either during the half-term break or at the end of that term). If your child is unable to attend a replacement class, please let the office know as soon as possible, with at least 24 hours’ notice, and a full refund will be issued for the cancelled class.
Refunds will be given in the following circumstances:
If your child is regularly unable to attend their booked class, please discuss this with the office. It may be possible for them to transfer to a more suitable day/time if a class place is available.
Our ultimate aim is for your child to have fun and learn new skills through Cricket, but as parents ourselves we understand that small children have short attention spans and sometimes even shorter fuses!
As a parent or guardian of a child in a Little Cricket class you are expected to participate in the class with them and to oversee their general behaviour.
If your child isn’t behaving or isn’t wanting to participate in a class our coaches completely understand. In such circumstances our coaches will look to you as the child’s parent or guardian to decide whether the child continues in the class, has a 5 minute break or leaves the class for that week.
If your child has a sibling who needs to accompany them to the class either on a regular or a one-off basis (for example, a younger sibling or an older sibling who is off school), this is fine but they cannot participate in the class and they remain the responsibility of their parent or guardian at all times.
We welcome other family members to classes as spectators (Grandparents, partners etc.)
Please don’t bring friends of your child to participate in the class as the coach will not be expecting them. As space in a class is limited, please contact the office if your child has a friend that they wish to bring as a one-off or for a trial.
We are very excited about Little Cricket and hope that you and your child will get a lot out of attending the classes. However, if for any reason you feel that yours or your child’s Little Cricket experience fails to meet your expectations we want to hear about it. In such a circumstance please contact the office as soon as a possible to discuss the matter.
We look forward to seeing you all in a Little Cricket class very soon!
The Little Cricket Team.
